Session agreement
The short version: a $100 deposit holds your time, weather never costs you anything, you own your finished photos, and we never post them without your yes. The details are below. Version October 2026.
1. Booking and payment
- A $100 deposit books your time. It comes off your package price.
- The balance is due 2 days before your session.
2. Weather, changes and cancelling
- Weather: if rain, snow or cold makes the session unpleasant, you get a rain check: we move your session to another date when we are both free, at no cost. We decide together by the morning of the session.
- Changing your date for another reason: one change is fine with at least 48 hours' notice, and your deposit moves with you.
- Cancelling: the $100 deposit isn't refunded. Any balance you've already paid is refunded in full.
- If we have to cancel (illness or an emergency), you choose a new date or a full refund, deposit included.
3. On the day
- Your session runs one hour (90 minutes with extended family) from the booked start time. If you arrive late, it still ends on time so the next family isn't kept waiting.
- Pets are welcome. A second adult to hold the leash helps.
- Children are never pushed. If someone needs a break, we take it.
4. Your photos
- Your private online gallery is ready within 7 days. You pick your favourites, and those are finished and delivered in high resolution.
- Prints and photo books in your package arrive about 3 weeks after you choose your favourites.
- Your gallery stays online for 60 days, so please download your images. We keep a backup for one year.
5. Who owns your photos
- You own the finished, edited photos delivered in your gallery. Print them, frame them, send them to family, put them on holiday cards and share them anywhere. A tag is appreciated, never required.
- Le Café Studio keeps the unedited raw files. They are not delivered.
- We may show your photos in our portfolio only if you say yes (see section 6).
- Please don't add filters to the finished images and present them as ours.
6. Sharing your photos
- We never share your photos without your permission. You choose when you book: on this website, on our family social posts, in printed samples, or not at all. Saying no changes nothing about your session.
- Children's names, your last name and your home location are never published.
- Your photos are never sold or licensed to anyone else.
- You can change your mind any time by emailing hello@lecafestudio.com. We remove them from the website and future posts within 14 days. Printed samples already made can't be recalled.
- The person booking signs as the parent or guardian of any children photographed.
7. If something goes wrong
- In the rare case images are lost or damaged by equipment failure, you choose a free re-shoot or a refund of what you paid. That is the full extent of our responsibility.
8. Your information
- Your name, email and phone are used to run your booking and deliver your photos, and nothing else. They're never sold or shared.
- Gallery links are private and hidden from search engines.
- This page uses Google Analytics to count visits, without names or emails.
9. The fine print
- This agreement is between you and Le Café Studio (Dario Hudon-Verrelli, operating as Le Café Studio, Calgary, Alberta) and is governed by the laws of Alberta.
- Ticking the box and typing your name on the booking form is your signature. We keep a record of it with your booking.
